Here at the Woolly Pig Company, we ship our products between Monday and Thursday. This means any orders placed from 3pm on Thursday and over the weekend will be dispatched on Monday for delivery on Tuesday via next day courier.

We use DPD for all our courier deliveries. DPD are the UK's leading parcel delivery company with an extensive UK network. They are also industry leaders in pursuing carbon neutral parcel delivery, and are committed to ensuring that every parcel delivered by DPD is carbon neutral. 

Please make sure you will be home for receipt of goods on the delivery day, however we know that is not always possible. If so, you can leave us a note at the checkout describing a safe place for your products to be left, such as a shed, porch etc.

Unless the meat is specifically pre-ordered, then it is stored and shipped frozen. This minimises any food waste, and allows you to receive at the same great quality you always expect (see frozen delivery info for more details)

Prices

Free Standard mainland UK delivery is available on any order over £75.

Standard mainland UK delivery is £7.95 for any order under £75.

All orders are shipped the same working day on a next day service if ordered before 3PM. But please bare in mind during busy periods this is not always possible.

Packaging

At the Woolly Pig HQ, we ensure all our packing is made from fully sustainable and recyclable materials. In order to maintain the products at the correct temperature during the delivery, the packaging uses 100% felted sheep’s wool which is washed in a natural process, scoured then sealed within recyclable industry grade micro-perforated polyethylene wrap. This high performance thermal insulated packaging is designed specifically for direct deliveries of chilled and frozen food, and has been rigorously tested and proven to keep produce within the temperature ranges required by the Food Standards Agency.

For frozen deliveries

We use the best eco packaging available and ice/gel packs to maintain as low a temperature as possible so your meat arrives still frozen. Upon arrival, we would always recommend you put the products in the freezer as soon as possible, and if some thawing of the meat has occurred in transit, please be assured it is safe to refreeze, as all out meat is vacuum packed and blast frozen for freshness.

For fresh deliveries 

The packaging we use is designed to keep meat at a chilled temperature for up to 72 hours, but we would always advise placing products straight into the fridge as soon as possible. Each product has been vacuum sealed to ensure freshness, and is safe to be put into the freezer following the frozen use by date.
