How will I know my order has shipped?
We will send you an email confirming when your order has been shipped.

Where do you deliver?
We deliver to anywhere in the mainland UK. Please contact us on hello@thewoollypigcompany.com to confirm delivery availability to any Highlands locations. 

Do you offer free delivery?
We like to keep our carbon footprint as low as possible from the amount of deliveries to the packaging we use. So free delivery is available for any orders ove £75. Under that, the standard delivery charge applies.

Why do you vacuum wrap the meat?
We use Vacuum packaging to keep the meat safe and fresh, this also makes it  suitable freezing.

Is the meat shipped fresh or frozen?
To avoid waste product, most of the items you see on the website are shipped frozen. These have been vacuum packed and blast frozen immediately after the butchering process to ensure the meat stays as fresh as it was on the day, meaning it is safe to refreeze if needed. If you prefer the meat to be shipped chilled, you can pre-order meat to be delivered fresh upon arrival.

Can i track my delivery?
Yes. We ship all orders with DPD on an overnight delivery. You will receive a tracking number via email. This can be used on the DPD website or the DPD app available on any smart phone.

Do you sell to trade?
Yes. We do offer competitive prices to wholesalers, restaurants etc. Please contact us to discuss availability and pricing.  

Is your packaging eco friendly?
We would love to have 100% recyclable packaging, but with the nature of the products, certain aspects are not. We use boxes made from 95% recycled materials, and wool lining which is totally compostable and biodegradable, releasing valuable nitrates back into the soil. The frozen gel packs we use to keep the products at the correct temperature are reusable. 

Can i repurpose the wool instead of throwing it away?
There are a number of ways you can recycle/reuse the wool liners such as:

– hanging baskets
– pet baskets
– Draught excluders
– Protection for plants/trees from frost
– Craft projects
